Queen - Tennessee Walking Horse Broodmare - Old Bloodlines!
Queen is registered TWHBEA, and her lines are also visible on allbreedpredigree.com under her registered name, Royal's Queen of Fashion. She is a 15.1 hand chestnut mare, born 2000. She has amazing old bloodlines - no Generator and no Pusher - and she is 75% Heritage. She is in excellent shape and can easily be bred back; don't let her age fool you; her back looks straighter than most people's 15 year old riding horses! Queen is very sweet, calm, and easy going. She puts a GREAT mind on her foals! She has birthed the calmest foals I have had on my farm (1 black filly when bred to a bay stud Carbonado's Bay at the Moon and 2 buckskin colts when bred to a buckskin stud Golden Gambler). She is safe for people with a foal by her side, she allows you access to them right when they are born and is never aggressive with her foals or people when they go near her foals. She does a correct 4 beat Running Walk and her foals (when bred to a well gaited stud) gait like no one's business! Queen has nice straight legs, solid hooves, a long sloping shoulder and croup, short back, soft kind eye, small head, and nice backend stride with good overstride. Queen stands on crossties perfectly, is great for farrier and picks up all 4 feet nicely, stands for vacuuming (blowing air), loads on a trailer, leads perfectly, comes to you in the field for catching, ais good for all grooming, is up to date on all vaccines, hoof trims, deworming, and teeth floating, she is calm and safe at feeding time.
Queen is an excellent mom, never has had any issues carrying or foaling. She does a good job of taking care of her foals, but also disciplining them appropriately - which makes our job as handlers much easier! She is currently being sold open, or we can toss her in with our stallion (Levi - his information is on our website, too.) I am only her 3rd owner, so she hasn't been handed around a ton. She is an alpha or second in command in the herd mare. She is confident and makes little to no fuss when moving to a new place, she is a bit of a loaner in the field, so she has never been buddy sour.
She has been both bred in hand and pasture bred and is great with both. She is a "been there, done that" mare when it comes to breeding and foaling. She is also good for all required vet checks prior to breeding.
All pictures were taken on 9/10/24, so they are recent (except for the one of her walking from the side with her winter coat and the foal's individual pictures). Yes, she is "ribby" and a little thin, as her colt was just weaned 2 weeks ago, and if you are familiar with breeding you know foals pull down the mare's weight fast. She will gain it all right back soon.
Her price is $1,000 sold open. $1,500 bred to our stud when confirmed in foal by our vet. She is not a riding horse, I think someone rode her a couple times about 10 years ago and that was it, so she is being sold as a broodmare and/or companion horse. She is safe for handlers of all ages.
She can be sold as a package deal with her current colt (he is already weaned), Clancy (his information is also on our website). Clancy is priced at $5,500, if she is purchased with him, her price will drop to $750 sold open and $1,250 bred to our stud.
I included pictures of the foals she has produced for us.
