SOLD Hope - Spotted Tennessee Walking Horse Mare

$2,500.00

Hope is a grade, 15 year old, purbred TWH mare. She is square going and does a correct 4 beat rack. She is easy to catch, stands tied and crosstied, tacks up easily, is low on the herd totem pole, is safe and respectful at feeding time, is around 15 hands tall, is up-to-date on farrier/vaccines/teeth floating/dewormer, loads/unloads/trailers well, and has great solid feet. Good for farrier. No fear of tarps. She doesn't bite or kick and is not food aggressive. She doesn't like to stand super still for mounting, not dangerous, but previous owner let her start to walk off during mounting, so someone may want to work on that. I have only ridden her 2x in the past 1.5 years.

UPDATE: I rode her today for the 3rd time in 2 years of owning her, for abt 25 minutes. She was very nervous. She didn't holler for the other horses and there was no buck, no bolt, no rear. But she will need a refresher. She did pretty well standing for mounting. She tacks up great and is not cinchy at all. My guess is she was previously ridden by someone who just made her go, go, go upheaded as soon as they got on, so she needs someone to help her learn to relax. She is excellent in hand, if you are looking for a lawn mower or conpanion only. Her price is reasonable at 2,000, so that if someone wanted to send her for a 30 day professional trainer refresher, they could do that. She will need someone with gentle hands. I was told that prior to my buying her 2 years ago, that she was someone's trail horse. She likes to move out, so someone who appreciates a good moving, not pokey TWH would be best fit, not someone who wants a slower horse and will keep pulling back on her. Intermediate rider on up. She isn't a buy her today, take her on the trails tomorrow, she will need some saddle time refresher first. Sweet, not aggressive nor mean, just nervous.

I bought her to breed, but she didn't take with my stud, so that is why she is for sale. She is healthy and good to go to new home. No history of founder, no colic, and not on any meds, no arthrtis, since I have had her for 2 years and no appearance of any of that from before I had her. Not marish in hand or in field, but I have not ridden her when she is in heat, but I don't think that would matter as she doesn't have strong heat cycle. She is being sold at a lower price since I haven't ridden her much in last 1.5 years, so she would do well with a refresher. Come meet her and load her up and take her home. :-) Feel free to text or call, and I can also Marco Polo videos.
